Door & Drawer Furniture

and latches and door handles. We use the term lock for something with a key, and latch for something which merely restrains a door, but doesn't lock.
 
1. Cylinder Rim Locks
These locks are designed for hatches etc. Opened on the one side with a key, you can open and close them on the other with a knurled knob - seen in the picture
2. Door Furniture
Knobs, spindles, roses & escutcheon plates. (I've been longing to use that word, having no idea what it means)
3. Drawer Handles
Drawer and locker handles.
4. Mortice Latches & Locks
These are mounted within the door - into a mortice.
5. Rim Latches
The latches come as standard with strikers which mount in the frame. If you wish the striker to mount on the edge of the frame, you will need one of the strikers listed here.
6. Rim Locks
This is where you may get confused with the orientation of the locks, so have a look at the data sheet mentioned below. As with the latches, if you wish the striker to mount on the edge of the frame, you will need one of the rim strikers.
