Size for size the strongest simple wire you can get, and by far the most common for standing rigging. It does not like being bent, so is not suitable for running rigging. Wire Rope Stainless 7 x 7
7 x 7 wire is a useful compromise between the strength of 1 x 19 and the flexibility of 7 x 19. It will happily form into a soft eye to fit around a spar. You can also splice it reasonably easily Wire Rope Stainless 7x19
